Physical activity among young people
In December 2010, Victrix announced its involvement (see press release), in the cause of physical inactivity among young people, and chose to support two organizations that promote physical and outdoor activities in the two regions where it operates.
For Montreal, Victrix chose the Fondation Père Sablon, which gives financial support to the Centre Père Sablon in Montreal and the P'tit Bonheur camp and outdoor adventure centre in the Laurentians. For Quebec City, Fondation GO was selected. These two foundations are both deeply concerned about the health of the younger generation and promote the benefits of a more active lifestyle, values strongly shared by Victrix.
Victrix raises funds through activities jointly organized with the social clubs at its offices in Montreal and Quebec. In many cases, these are sports activities, and this also encourages physical activity within the company. The organization set an annual target of $10,000. Victrix also participates from time to time in activities organized by the Fondation Père Sablon and the Fondation GO.
